All the sound in the opening is non diegetic because it wants to set the scene instead of introducing emotional attachment to characters
The music is loud and deep
The use of a trumpet creates fear and a sense of inevitability at the beginning of the film
The altering in frequency and tone of the trumpet creates an unsteady environment
The introduction of woodwind instruments provide a sense of isolation as wind is iconography of being alone
The music deteriorates into off putting sounds that can vaguely be distinguished to provide a psychopathic vibe
The sounds used at the end of the clip seem to be screams and howling
Setting
The setting is vast covering mountainous territory and wooded areas, the enormity of the landscape is to show that they are miles away from any civilisation and services, so if anything should go wrong, they are helpless.
Camera movements
Crane shots are used to allow the audience to see the vast scenery whilst allowing the centre of the frame to be on the car
Camera shots
The entire of the opening uses long shots the express the isolation of the surroundings
